Marriott Begins Construction on New Las Vegas Tower

Las_Vegas_StripGood news for Marriott Vacation Club members! MVC has started construction on a third tower at one of our favorite properties near the Las Vegas strip: Marriott’s Grand Chateau. Inspired by the Southern French decor of the existing two towers, the new 37-story tower will add more than 640 new villas to the property which will range in size from approximately 820 to 2,095 square feet.

Villas will feature fully equipped kitchens with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and custom cabinets; spacious living and dining areas; luxurious bedding; multiple flat-panel LED televisions with Blu-ray DVD players; washer/dryer and complimentary Wi-Fi internet access. Units can sleep between 4 and 10 guests.

Adding to the luxe opulence of this French-inspired Las Vegas resort, each villa will feature glassy granite surfaces, mahogany stained furniture and cabinetry and armoires with backlit, frosted glass paneled doors. Creamy neutral walls provide a soothing backdrop to set off the bold blue, gold, red and brown in the luxe fabrics, tapestries, tile, and bedding accents.

On the third floor, owners enjoy use of the lobby lounge – featuring top shelf cocktails and tapas, a billiards area with electronic game tables and a cafe. The fifth floor provides access to the property’s second pool with a built-in sun shelf and chaise lounges for relaxing in the water, a pool deck with two whirlpool spas and a pool bar and grill.

Marriott’s Grand Chateau offers an array of generous amenities including a sparkling rooftop pool with whirlpool spa and rooftop bar, offering panoramic views of the glittering Las Vegas strip. This deluxe Marriott timeshare also boasts a state-of-the-art-fitness center, daily children’s activities and The MarketPlace – perfect for snacks, drinks, ice-cream, and other daily necessities, like Starbucks® coffee! Occupancy is set to begin in mid-2014.

Marriott Rewards Partners with Hotels for Heroes

Fisher House - Hotels for HeroesAre you a Marriott Rewards member? Now you can use your Marriott Vacation Club Rewards points to support our troops.

In partnership with Fisher House Foundation, Marriott Rewards points can be donated to provide free hotel rooms for ailing military servicemen and women and their families during treatment.

Similar to the UK’s Give Us Time program that we discussed a few weeks ago, this new partnership gives Marriott Rewards owners a unique opportunity to support US troops who have been injured in service to our country.

For recovering soldiers injured in the line of duty, having the support of friends and family is crucial to the healing process. But the costs of long stays far from home can be prohibitive. Fisher House Foundation’s Hotel for Heroes partnership with Marriott Rewards means members can give the gift of family to those service-people who need it most.

“Our company truly appreciates the dedication of our service men and women and the work they do to protect our freedom. That is why we are so proud of this partnership with Hotels for Heroes,” said Ed French, senior vice president, Marriott Rewards. “Now we can offer our members the option of helping those who’ve been injured while serving and protecting the USA.”

Points can be redeemed for Hotel for Heroes Charitable Awards in the following denominations:

  • 1,000 Marriott Rewards points
  • 5,000 Marriott Rewards points
  • 10,000 Marriott Rewards points
  • 25,000 Marriott Rewards points

The nonprofit Fisher House Foundation administers the “Hotels for Heroes” program in partnership with the Department of Defense. All requests for a free hotel room are verified by an authorized government official. Donations are tax deductible to the maximum extent allowed by law.

Best Eco Friendly Timeshares

Happy Earth Day from Timeshare Broker Sales!

If incorporating your eco-friendly lifestyle into your travel plans is important to you, you’ll want to look for a vacation ownership program whose green conscience matches your own.

Happy Earth Day from Timeshare Broker SalesIn honor of Earth Day, we’re discussing the advanced green-initiatives of some of the world’s most popular vacation ownership programs.

When considering eco-friendly programs and policies, two vacation ownership companies stand head and shoulders above the rest: Marriott Vacation Club and Wyndham Worldwide Corporation.

Wyndham Worldwide Corporation

Wyndham Worldwide Corporation ranks among the United States’ Top 100 Greenest Companies, and number one among hotels and restaurants, according to Newsweek Magazine’s 2011 Green Rankings.

Of all US corporations, Wyndham Worldwide ranked number 73, based on a number of criteria including: all policies, programs, initiatives and disclosures that affect the company’s actual environmental footprint. Wyndham Worldwide’s Global Reporting Initiative and Carbon Disclosure Project also factored into the company’s high ranking.

“By continually evaluating and introducing sustainable practices across the globe, we have been able to make tremendous progress in a short period of time,” says Faith Taylor, Wyndham Worldwide vice president of sustainability and innovation. Wyndham Vacation Ownership is a subsidiary of Wyndham Worldwide.

Marriott Vacation Club

Last decade, The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency honored Marriott with its Sustained Excellence Award for three consecutive years, and has awarded its ENERGY STAR® label to approximately 275 Marriott hotels.

The more than 50 Marriott Vacation Club resorts worldwide have installed energy efficient lighting, low-flow showerheads and toilets, and participate in a robust resort-wide recycling program. To keep this program functioning optimally, each Marriott Vacation Club resort has its own “green team” which carries out and oversees environmental efforts at the site level.

“Continuing to eliminate more waste from landfills and find innovative ways to ‘green’ our supply chain only strengthens our commitment to being an industry leader in environmental stewardship,” said Dirk Schavemaker, senior vice president of resort operations for Marriott Vacation Club. “We firmly believe that it is our responsibility to demonstrate how responsible resort management can be a positive force for the environment.”
